My name is Penína Sara-Lynn Harding, I am a PhD Candidate in Natural Resources & Environmental Studies at the University of Northern British Columbia, located in the traditional territory of Lheidli T’enneh and City of Prince George, BC.

I am Secwepemc from the community Esk’etemc (First Nation), and a mother who decided to return to university in 2015 to complete a Bachelor’s degree and find myself in a Doctoral Degree program now.

The working Title of my Doctoral Dissertation is: Documenting Esk’etemc Experience of Place to Prepare for Generative Land-Use Planning

My areas of specialization include Indigenous Environmental Planning; Indigenous Research Methodologies; and Experience of Place.
